We share five stylish tips to take note of when decorating a small bathroom
Who says small bathrooms can't be stylish? Anna Callis, interior designer and founder of The London Basin Company shares her simple steps for keeping your bathroom looking on-trend and fresh in even compact spaces.
Keep your surfaces clutter-free by investing in some clever storage. Hide away your essentials, keep your shelves minimal and make sure cupboard handles are discreet, as this is a great way to make the room look and feel larger.
Mirrors are a must-have as they create the illusion of space. Panel your walls in mirrored tiles or just hang numerous mirrors around the room – mix up plain glass and antiqued glass to add a chic twist.
When it comes to colour it's all or nothing. Either go crazy and decorate with lots of vibrant colours or stick to a neutral palette – stay away from feature walls as they make rooms feel much smaller.
Even in the littlest of bathrooms you need a mixture of lighting, including a bright glow around the basin and less harsh light everywhere else. Make sure your lighting is adjustable so you can create the right atmosphere at the right time.
Once your space is in order then you can add a design focus piece to pull it all together, we think one of these gorgeous basins and taps would make the perfect addition.
