Get ready for Autumn
Lead image We're now officially in autumn which means it's time to get your home ready for a season of cosy evenings. Plum & Ashby have launched a new autumnal collection to help you achieve just this, with warm - and stylish - blankets, luxury scented candles and hand-thrown ceramics readying both you and your home as the cold rises and the evenings draw in.
The Little Book of Hygge
Denmark is often viewed as one of the happiest countries in the world. And the reason for this? It's often associated with one word - hygge. Meik Wiking, CEO of the Happiness Research Institute in Copenhagen and Skandium, has released a book, 'The Little Book of Hygge' (RRP £9.99), which tells you all you could need to know about incorporating a sense of hygge into the everyday. You can find out more about it here.
The interiors brand that gives back
Below A new interiors brand has launched which is giving back by directly supporting their co-venture. Happy + Co was started by Penny Capper and her Godfather, interior designer Gary Elton. Inspired by the cultures of Australia, Asia and London, Happy + Co draws together a combination of beautiful patterns, designs and vibrant colours, ensuring your home is full of stand out designs at a sensible price. The brand also directly supports their co-venture Happy + Co Farm in Cambodia, which launched in 2014. Happy + Co Farm looks to grow fresh fruit and vegetables in a country that is heavily reliant on importation. You can view the interior brand's collection here.
Below Normann Copenhagen has launched new kitchen items which combine functionality with beautiful aesthetics, getting a huge thumbs up from us. You won't need to worry about hiding away utensils any more, as these designs will only enhance your kitchen's appearance. For instance, the Part cutting boards portrays graphic simplicity. Designer Simon Legald has given each board it's own unique characteristics, giving each one individual purposes whether it is cutting snacks, vegetables, meat or bread. Price: £79.90
