Decorate with natural materials to create a relaxed bedroom scheme
Achieving a simple and laid-back look for your sleep space is easy to do, all you need is a calm colour scheme and some organic linens and textures.
Enjoy the feeling of waking up refreshed not only with plenty of natural light flooding in through your window but also with fabrics, textiles and furniture in wood, cotton, wool, leather, sisal and seagrass for example. Tactile textures used for bed linen, curtains and rugs can be layered, add interest and in a room where clutter is kept to a minimum there will be a calming feel.
One reigning natural material which is versatile and can look even better with age, is wood. Its warmth and grainy finish is appealing on larger furniture pieces such as wardrobes, drawers and beds and it's also suited to both contemporary or more traditional rooms.
